CLOSURE

NCRD News Update Monday September 25, 2023

Fall term classes and programs officially begin today. Unfortunately, that doesn’t include Aquatics. The Pool will remain closed for another couple of weeks.

The city of Nehalem has informed us that our conservation efforts are helping. However, the small amount of rain we have received recently hasn’t been enough to bring water levels up to where they need to be to reopen the Pool.

It is a no school day, so the Youth Center is open all day. This is a service we provide for the convenience of the working parents in our community

We have recently hired a new Fitness Director, Hannah Culver.  For those of you who haven’t heard, Debbie Crosman, our beloved Fitness Center Director has retired. Debbie has been a vital part of NCRD for over 25 years since its inception. She is directly responsible for taking us from a little one room Fitness Center to what we are today with a myriad of classes and over500 members. Debbie will be missed! We are very fortunate to have Hannah who has the qualifications to take over for her. Hannah shares Debbie‘s passion for fitness and wellness and has some great ideas.

AQUATICS CENTER CLOSED BEGINNING FRIDAY, AUGUST 18, at 6:00 PM

In cooperation with the City of Nehalem, we are required to stop using the amount of water necessary to keep the pool open. Therefore, until further notice, the Aquatics Center will be closed due to water shortages.

In addition, Fitness Center Showers will be closed.

Thank you for your understanding during this critical time. Questions? Contact 855.444.6273, choose option 1.
